Dr. Freed founded Freed Veterinary Hospital on August 6,1973, after graduating from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Freed served as President of the Tidewater Veterinary Medical Association, the Greater Peninsula Veterinary Medical Association, and served as the Peninsula Representative to the Virginia Veterinary Medical association as well. When he was not at the clinic, Dr. Freed enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, and dog Maggie, as well as fly fishing, golfing and travel. Dr. Freed passed away in his home, on June 8, 2021. He was surrounded by the family that he loved and cherished so much. Dr. Freed is dearly missed and will always be in our hearts and fond memories.
