Practice Owner

  • Carolyn S. Kutzer , D.V.M.

Dr. K. came to the area and to Freed Veterinary Hospital in 1993 after graduating from Ohio State University. While she enjoys the time she spends interacting with the clients and their pets, the best part of any day is being able to see that the things she and her team does help make the human-animal bond better for them. Her areas of interest include endocrinology, pain management and rehab, and surgery.
Down time usually involves family time with her husband of many years and her daughter, Emily, as well as the current menagerie. That includes her 2 meatheaded (but very wonderful) yellow labs, Dixie and Twinkle, her much too busy wirehair dachshund, Murphy, a solid gray cat named Patches,a blue tongue skink (Scales), Rainbow the Betta fish, and Pinky the hermit crab.
She enjoys volunteering her time for different events and programs involving Therapy Dogs (all 3 dogs are tested and certified through Therapy Dogs, International) and kids. She is very active in the school PTA. The rest of the time involves reading, beading socializing with friends or working in her yard.
